selfLESS Moments

What are selfLESS Moments?

For October and November, New Life Fellowship is excited to be going through our new sermon series, "selfLESS"! The goal of our selfLESS series is for us as a church to shift our focus from having a "me" mentality to one of serving, sacrificing, and thinking about others before ourselves. We want to be a Church that is Christ-like in how we consider how to meet someone else's needs. To achieve this, New Life Fellowship will be starting our new addition to our sermon series, selfLESS Moments. Each week, we will be providing a selfLESS challenge for our members to complete.

Week 1: Confess a Need 

Theme:
The week one challenge focuses on removing pride and humbling ourselves to be open to telling others our needs. We challenge our members this week to Confess a Need.

Examples Include:
- Posting a need on the New Life Fellowship Prayer Wall
- Establishing the guardrails of a transparent relationship
- Posting a photo of the person who keeps you accountable or your sister and brothers in Christ.

Week 2: Reach Out to Someone 

Theme:
The week two challenge focuses on letting someone know you care. We challenge our members this week to Reach Out to Someone

Examples Include:
- Make a call
- Send a text
- Drive-by / Honk and Roll
- Call an old friend
- Send a card
- Care packages
- Meal train
- Lawn care
- Babysitting

Week 3: Random Act of Kindness

Theme:
The week three challenge focuses on showing kindness to someone. We challenge our members this week to complete a  Random Act of Kindness
Examples Include:
- Paying for someones meal 
Buy a gift card at a bookstore and leave it in a book
Send a “just because” card with a personal handwritten message
Drop off a hot meal for someone who is ill, lost a loved one, or just came home from the hospital

Week 4: Sacrificing Something in Order to Bless Someone

Theme:
The week four challenge focuses on blessing someone else. We challenge our members this week to complete a  Sacrifice Something in Order to to Bless Someone
Examples Include:
- Sacrificing coffee at Starbucks 
- Sacrificing time to pray with someone
Sacrificing your talent to help someone in need

Week 5: When asked, "How are you?", Tell the Truth!

Theme:
The week five challenge focuses on being honest about how you are doing. We challenge our members this week When Asked About How They Are Doing, to Tell the Truth.
